About the club

​

Welland Valley Triathlon Club (WVTri) is a club run by its members based in and around Corby, Market Harborough and Kettering. We have an active membership of over 140 triathletes, ranging from complete beginners to multiple Ironman veterans.

​

We are a very friendly and welcoming club and train at all standards. We strive to be inclusive and offer help and support to those looking for age group qualification through to those just thinking about trying a tri. We’ll make you faster, make you stronger and hopefully you’ll have lots of fun training and racing with a great group of athletes and friends.

WVTri have BTF qualified coaches that run all of our training sessions and aim to offer a consistently high standard of coaching.  In addition, the club have a number of qualified British Cycling Combined L1 & L2 Ride Leaders.  All of our coaches and Ride Leaders have - or are working towards - a recognised first aid qualification and Ride Leaders carry a first aid kit on the club's Social Ride.  The club also owns its own portable defibrillator.

 

The club attends local, national and international events throughout the triathlon season and will help support you in all aspects of triathlon, from transition through to race day strategy and nutrition.

How we can help

Our expanding team of coaches plan and deliver all of our training sessions, so you can be sure they’ll be of excellent quality and tuned to your specific training needs. We have access to superb local training facilities including Corby East Midlands International Pool, Market Harborough Leisure Centre and Rockingham Triangle Stadium, Corby (all season athletics/running track).  We encourage swim, bike and run training as well as strength & conditioning sessions for an all round fitness programme.

Our coaches can help with training plans and provide expert and friendly advice for all levels and abilities, whether you are a super sprint novice or an experienced long course triathlete.
